A good crabapple from which to make jelly. ‘Evereste’ bears masses of cup-shaped, white flowers from red buds in late spring, followed by large, red-flushed, orange-yellow fruit, and dark green leaves. This pollution tolerant crab apple is an ideal ornamental tree for a small, urban garden. Also, it’s one of the best disease resistant crab apples, it is conical in shape, and it will flower (and fruit) best when grown in full sun. It will eventually grow into a medium-sized tree, though not to the height expected of a single-stemmed form.
