Philadelphus × virginalis ‘Limestone’

This shrub is at the northern end of the Philadelphus walk, on its west side.
Suppled by Mr Richard Wiseman of Ravensthorpe Nursery, Northamptonshire in October 2007.
A cultivar raised in Poland in the 1970’s. Its alternative name is ‘Alabaster’
A handsome, upright, deciduous shrub, not often seen in cultivation, but which has much charm with bright, mid-green foliage and loose clusters of cup-shaped, fragrant, white single flowers in early summer.
